Isabella Returns

It's about time for my adopted cousin to come to town for her annual visit.

Isabella, or Bella, as she likes to be called, is not a blood relation and I'm not exactly sure what the connection really is, although some pholks say they see some resemblance between us.

Isabella is somewhat of a Gypsy although I'm not sure where she was born or even where she lives. We're not that close and there is little doubt that Bella is a woman of mystery.

Some people say she is somewhat attractive and there are some guys who repeatedly are asking me when Isabella is coming to town. She does have a certain allure and some guys seem to be wowed by her.

As I said, I don't know a whole lot about her but the little I do know certainly seems to enhance her mystic. She dresses sort of gypsy-like and always wears a veil. She has had some belly dancing experience, a fact which seems to be part of her attractiveness. She likes big earrings, rings and red lipstick and nail polish.

I also have learned that she is somewhat of a tease even though she tends not to talk a lot.

Bella is a good woman, but somewhat of a flirt. As we all know, looks can be deceiving and Bella plays her role to the hilt. I don't know if “cousin” Isabella has ever been married. I believe she is single and quite particular. She likes to dance and has a style all her own. She tells me she will not kiss on the first date and the second date is no sure thing. Bella is a charmer and her long eyelashes can captivate men casting quite a spell. Gypsy women are like that, you know.

Bella doesn't drink very much but she draws attention especially from men who like a drink or several. Some have said that after 2 a.m. Bella is one of the most attractive women they have every seen. Of course, since I don't touch alcohol any more I guess I'll never be in a position to see her as others might.

During a recent conversation when she told me she was coming to visit, Bella reminded me she wanted to go out on the town and suggested that I tell my friends she was coming. Bella also asked if I might want to come along. I made no promises but indicated she will see the sights and a have a good time.

Bella plans to go shopping, an activity which she enjoys especially since she has her own style and needs. She says she lives in a small town where shopping choices are sparse. She is always looking for new veils and earrings and other gypsy style accessories.

It is those factors which make Bella unique. She is her own woman and I, for one, admire and respect that. Some have even referred to Bella as “hot” and one guy even told me “She's da bomb.”

True, Bella may be “da bomb” to some, but to me she's family—sort of.

Bella likes being a woman and it shows. She is a free spirit, a quality which I've always considered an attribute—to a certain extent. Bella and I share some qualities—to a certain extent. I don't wear earrings and I dress rather conservatively. I have yet to take up belly dancing but might if I find it could help improve my agility and balance on the golf course. Maybe Bella could show me a few moves to help my swing and I could show her how to play golf—to some extent. Bets are she's probably a better belly dancer than I'm a golfer.

Anyhow pholks, it will be great to see Bella even for a day or two. But, I will not invite her to go shopping with me for any golfing outfits. And that, pholks, is a sure thing.
