Merry Christmas
‘Twas the week
after Christmas
And all around each house
Pholks were still shoppin'
By moving their mouse.
The stockings still
hung
By the fake chimney with care
With chances still strong
Next week they'd still be there.
The children were texting
Instead of being in bed
While visions of new BFFs
Danced in each head.
Mothers were learning
to twitter
While dads were settling down
Using smart phones checking around
Hoping their team survived the first round.
When all of a sudden
There was a thunder of chatter
Ring tones were all sounding
Something surely was the matter.
Everyone dashed to windows
Each seeking a clue
What could be the matter?
All their devices were new.
What could be the matter?
Each on them did exclaim
“These networking devices
Just can't all be so lame.
Little did any of them
know
Somewhere around town
Herds of Chia Pets
Were shutting things down.
Believe it or not
This story is true
At least I've been told
But pholks, remember, I'm sorta old.
